In 2011, 15-year-old Yash and his friends from Amrit Vidyalaya, Kalol, Gujarat, wanted to address indifference towards garbage in the community streets. They created awareness through street plays, role modelling and advocacy, pledged to adopt a space and maintain it for an entire year, and also made postcards for people to commit to maintaining cleanliness.
