In 2015, students at Indira High School, Wardha, Maharashtra, were concerned about the scarcity of water in their area owing to its high location. They decided this needed to be solved by making a check dam to store surface water. To achieve this, students organised a festival to raise funds, managing to provide 15% of the funds needed for construction, as well as contrbuted their service on the construction site.
